Blog

Hello to all of you,

Where has time gone! Spring is finally on its way – hooray. The clocks have changed to British Summer Time and the Easter weekend is upon us.

This month sees two new additions to our family called Zak and Zoe, who are two adorable nine week old black and white kittens. Its early days but they seem to be settling in well with the dogs and the children.

Vibrant Home has been wonderfully busy with all the lovely new colourful stock of melamine cups and plates from Rice Dk. The colours are so pretty that I just want all of them in my kitchen.  The new colours just make you day dream of summer picnics and suppers in the garden and if you add in the fun colourful garden candles then you create the perfect setting.

But, the best thing that I have found for this summer are the acrylic non spill wine glasses with a travel style lid, which you can either use or remove. The wine glasses as you would expect are fun and colourful, they come in either a clear glass with a colourful lid or a tinted coloured glass and colourful lid – your choice. They are perfect for a picnic, beside the pool or at the beach, no more spilt wine or added extra’s (pesky flies) in your wine!

On a technical front Vibrant Home has now fully embraced Twitter see “Sarah@vibranthome” (we are still learning the finer points so please bear with us) so you can follow our daily musings and what we get up to.  In the meantime enjoy dreaming about summer.

Hello,

We are into February the days are getting longer, Spring is round the corner even if it is a bit cold at the moment –but the sun is shining as I write this.

Life is fun and busy at Vibrant Home. As a family we all went to the London and Birmingham Trade shows where we have had fun choosing the lovely new things for Vibrant Home. We all agreed that the new printed melamine from Rice Dk was one of our favourites, closely followed by the Raffia storage baskets. Seeing the new colours and styles through the eyes of the children is always fun, as they express their likes and dislikes. But we are excited in the choices we have made and hope you are as well.

My daughter is in 7th heaven when it came to the new Chroma range of stationery from Caroline Gardner, and some of it has already found its way into her school bag!  My son meanwhile is looking forward to the new Happy Jackson range of lunch boxes and drink cups, which should be with us at the end of February.

In the meantime keep well wrapped up and dreaming of Spring.

Hello,

The year is drawing to a close and our first year at Vibrant Home has been exciting, thanks to all of you for your feedback, custom and help with spreading the word about Vibrant Home. Special thanks also have to go to my supportive family (especially my husband – aka our website designer with my constant requests for change just when he gets home exhausted from work!).

We hope that you have enjoyed browsing our site and have been pleased with your purchases, it has been fun wrapping and packing boxes and wonderful to receive your emails afterwards.

As many of you will know our collection is forever growing and we value your suggestions for new, colourful and innovating products.  In January we are off to the trade shows “Top Draw” in London followed by the “Spring Fair” in Birmingham to see what lovely things we can find for you.

From all of us at Vibrant Home, we wish you all a Happy New Year and hope 2015 is full of life, love and colour.

Happy New Year

Sarah

Hello,

The weather has turned and autumn is on the way with its whole raft of beautiful colours. This week saw Vibrant Home launch the colourful Joco coffee cup for when you are on the go. The perfect addition for that autumn walk in the woods to kick leaves. Or, as we find ourselves, on the sports touchlines, supporting the children.

Bring the autumn colours into your home with the colourful raffia storage baskets from Rice.

This week has also seen Vibrant Home place orders for more of the beautiful raffia Toy Baskets and Reindeers from Rice which should be with us by the end of October, and the new Muchly Lovely collection of stationery from Caroline Gardner. But most of exciting of all we are in the process of signing contracts with a new British Design Company called Block, who have beautiful, simple design colourful accessories for your lovely homes like magazine holders and peg boards.

To all of you who have received parcels over the few days, thank you and I hope you have enjoyed them as much I enjoyed wrapping them.

Whatever you do this week, just enjoy and live life in colour.

Sarah

Hello,

As you would expect life at Vibrant Home has been busy. We are getting back into our routine of school life and working days, and the new stationery from Caroline Gardner has found its way into my daughter’s school bags together with a pink lunchbox!

Over the last few weeks we have been busy visiting Trade Shows, and have sourced some lovely colourful and fun things for this autumn which will arrive shortly. This week though sees the launch of our colourful shoelaces which are handmade in Great Britain. We have chosen these shoelaces for a number of reasons, we thought we would bring colour to your step as well as your home; they are British made and are of excellent quality. We hope you like them as well, and they would make excellent gifts.

Whatever you do this week, just enjoy, live life in colour.

Hello,

Hope you are enjoying the last few days of summer.

Life at our house and Vibrant Home is busy as usual. I have been sorting out the last few things for school and sewing in name tags, the list of things for naming seems endless! However putting that aside we have had some lovely evenings at the beach for supper and long walks with the dogs.

Have you been following the Great British Bake Off, we have, and have been trying out their recipes using the lovely colourful mixing bowls and spatulas by Zeal. https://www.vibranthome.co.uk/colourful-melamine-mixing-bowl-by-cks-zeal.html .

This week will see Vibrant Home launch its range of the fantastic colourful raffia toy baskets from Rice DK https://www.vibranthome.co.uk/toy-boxes-and-toy-baskets.html . These baskets are all handmade and embroidered in Madagascar and are absolutely beautiful. They are perfect to encourage small people in your life to tidy up, but equally look lovely on the shelf to store some of your treasurers! Take a look.

Whatever you do this week, just enjoy, live life in colour.

Hello,

Hope you have all been enjoying the sunshine and haven’t had too much rain!

Life here at Vibrant Home has been so busy what with Camping, parties and house guests I haven’t had a chance to sit down. My personal collection of colourful melamine plates and cups have been brilliant (in the garden, through the dishwasher and even found in the tree house courtesy of the boys!) and have been used constantly  by everyone – young and old, just need to add a few more cups though, must go and raid Rice DK at Vibrant Home.

This week has seen the launch of our back to school range, yes the summer is nearly over, but don’t worry you can continue with the summer colours by using the colourful lunch boxes by Happy Jackson and Present Time, they will be sure to brighten your mood as we heard towards to September.

Whatever you do this week, just enjoy, live life in colour.

Hello,

Hope you all had a lovely weekend in the sunshine. We had a family day out, including dogs, at the Parish show on Sunday. We had packed a picnic with our colourful melamine plates and cups by Rice DK and had a lovely day which was rounded off with a swim in the marshes.

Last week was really busy with deliveries of new stock from Rice DK. The children thought it was Christmas as they undid all the boxes and saw the beautiful colours of the Raffia storage baskets (handmade in Madagascar) and fun metal storage boxes (some of which seem to have found their way to the children’s bedroom!).

We also had our first delivery of stock from CarolineGardner, a British Designer of beautiful quality stationery, colourful cotton bags and fine bone chine mugs. We have added her to our collection as we love her gorgeous notebooks and my daughter loves the pencil cases – she will be so kitted out in September if she has her way!

To all of you who received deliveries of their purchases last week, we hope you enjoyed and look forward to you visiting us again soon.

Enjoy your week, live life in colour.

Hello to you,

Welcome to Vibrant Home. I really hope you enjoy shopping with us. Vibrant Home has been set up with the help of my two school age children and supportive husband, thinking about the products that I have used in my home and garden as my children have grown.

The idea behind Vibrant Home was to surround you with beautiful colourful practical pieces that you could use every day and would last because of their quality. However, there is an additional twist as to why we chose the products, we as a family, strongly believe in supporting British Designers and manufacturers or ethical sourcing and are forever seeking out further such suppliers to add to our collection.

My children have loved being involved with putting the collection of products together, they also love giving me their opinions on the products I choose! You will see our collective opinions:

  • In the bright, colourful Rice DK melamine dinner sets
  • The fun and fashionable lunch boxes and stationery from Happy Jackson and others
  • The beautiful British Made rag dolls, bunnies and purses from Quirky Genius
  • The practical and bright bakeware and kitchenware from CKS Zeal and others

We hope you enjoy browsing our site and find something that you will love to use or give as a present. We are also always happy to hear from you (sarah@vibranthome.co.uk) as you are an important part of Vibrant Home through your shopping and ideas.

Enjoy Vibrant Home. Live life in colour.

Sarah x
